I am a PhD student in the Quantum Optical Materials and Systems group at the University of Cambridge, specialising in the study of III‐V semiconductor quantum dots. My expertise lies in the experimental study of the central‐spin physics at play between the electron‐spin qubit and the surrounding nuclear spin ensemble. Through this I have developed a deep understanding of quantum systems engineering, technical problem solving and quantum and classical optics. Ancillary but crucial skills have been honed along the way, including software engineering, version control, interfacing/automating hardware and signals engineering. Working in a 7-strong sub-team in a wider research group of 30 has fostered skills of teamwork, leading scientific investigation, succinctly presenting research updates and disseminating transferable techniques and knowledge. I have gained experience in verbal communication through international conference talks and visual communications through 3D scientific graphic design in Blender.
