I began my career in Medical Laboratory Sciences in 2005 as a laboratory assistant for Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center in Safford, Arizona. Working closely with Medical Technologists, they find the answers the doctors need to treat you, I fell in love with the science and culture of the laboratory. This small humble group of people inspired me to challenge myself and contribute to the world in a way only so few can understand.I moved away from my small town eventually to the big city of Phoenix, Arizona to pursue an Associate's Degree at Phoenix College. During this time, I was given an amazing opportunity to work in the laboratory at Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix. This is one of America's top ranked hospitals that attracts the best and brightest medical professionals. I have worked in this laboratory for over 11 years now and am proficient in several disciplines in the General Laboratory. These departments include Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, and Clinical Toxicology. I continue to learn and grow as a Medical Technologist and am currently pursuing a promotion within my company. I hold a certification from the American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB). I also get the chance to work closely with students from various colleges that rotate through my department. Medical Laboratory Science is my passion. It is my dream to inspire students the way others have inspired me in this field.
