During this period of employment, I have been involved with receiving 50 Infantry fighting vehicles and coordinating the inspection team to perform inspections and report operational readiness. Simultaneously I was involved with issuing 97 Infantry fighting vehicles to a tactical unit in Europe, Coordinating the inspection team and maintenance on this equipment to ensure they are fully mission capable and handing over to the United States Government. Additional involvement with receiving a further 67 Infantry fighting vehicles, coordinating the inspection team to perform operator and maintainer inspections to identify required repairs or modifications that are still required.I have been directly involved with US Army Defender missions. Coordinating the inspection team to issue/ receive all commodities of equipment to include Infantry fighting vehicles and main battle tanks. Additional involvement with issuing equipment to training units training the Ukrainian armed forces as well as preparing fighting vehicles and tanks to be issued to the Ukrainian forces.

My role as a quality control inspector was to approve incoming and outgoing vehicles by following the 10 & 20 level technical manuals (Maintenance repair and servicing). This included Initial, In-process and final acceptance inspections. Inputting faults and verifying work is completed to the required standard and the equipment is ready for quality assurance final acceptance.Working hand in hand with the various vehicle workshops to ensure an effective working practice is maintained and all work is carried out in accordance with technical manuals and army regulations.I was listed as the secondary MWO coordinator. I verified and monitored equipment modifications (Modification work orders) and safety of use messages (MWO’s/ SOUM’s) and completed paperwork to report completion onto the modification management information system (MMIS).I gained extensive knowledge and skill in the practices, policies and procedures or related functional and administrative activities, as well as seasoned oral and written communication skills to effect appropriate interface/ coordination of quality control plans and programs with various activities.I have thorough and detailed knowledge and skill in applying methods and techniques for investigating, analyzing and effecting corrective action on complex quality problems.Vehicles I inspected: M2A3, M3A3, M1A2, M1150 AVB, M88A2, M109A6, M992A3, M113A3, M1064A3, and M60 AVLB.

Turret Mechanic

My role as a Turret Mechanic was to maintain, diagnose and repair the M2A3 and M3A3 infantry fighting vehicle (Bradley) fleet of vehicles within the army prepositioned stock site (APS-2). This includes preventative maintenance checks, troubleshooting and diagnostics of any faults electrical or mechanical on the hull, turret and weapon systems. I replaced bad components, re-wired, re-built and serviced vehicles to a 10 and 20 level standard. Whilst in this role I have gained comprehensive and thorough knowledge of, and skill in the full range of principles, concepts and methodology related to tracked vehicles. I had been deployed as part of a team for the Defender 2020 operations supporting the United States Army, maintaining and repairing the Bradley infantry fighting vehicles. During this time, I worked closely with BAE systems who had been deployed with us to apply modifications (MWO’s) to the Bradley’s in the APS-2 fleet. I successfully diagnosed and repaired defective components/ equipment found during the upgrades and installations. I excelled in the planning and accomplishment of a variety of difficult and complex work assignments. Proficient in the following systems and sub-systems for the M2A3 and M3A3 Combat Platform.• Hull & Turret systems operation, troubleshooting/ diagnostics, and maintenance operations• Suspension and Track maintenance• Installation, service, and repair of the Bradley Urban Survivability Kit (BUSK)• Line Replaceable Units/ Weapon Systems Modules diagnostics and repair• Diagnostics, Service, and repair of M2A3/M3A3 Armament platforms and subsystems• Power management and electrical systems diagnosis• Maintenance and repair of M257 smoke grenade launchers and countermeasure devices
