In January of 2018, we incorporated as an LLC. I have taken the lead in the technology development and user experience, leading to great relationships with a developing company in the area. In addition, I also took the lead in the financial requirements, modeling the financial projections and working on the pro forma financial statement to help us find investors that are interested in the idea and the possibility of a high return on investment in the near future. So far, the company has received part of the initial seed investment required to start the technology development and production by the second quarter of 2018, and we are still seeking investors for the remaining capital needed. We are working tediously on this, and are highly confident we will achieve our goals this year.

As a Graduate Assistant, I work 20 hours per week for the Freshman Engineering Program (FEP) while I work on my masters degree. The FEP has more than 700 students enrolled, taking either Introduction to Engineering I or II, or any of the other alternatives offered by the program based on the math level of the students. My duties as a graduate assistant consist of assisting the professors with different in-class activities, as well as grading tests, homework, and any assignment. In addition, I have office hours assigned where students can walk in if they need help with an assignment or have any question about the class.The Spring semester of 2018 I have been assigned to be the teaching assistant for the FEP Innovation class, given the fact some faculty saw an opportunity of me helping with this class with my recent experience in entrepreneurship.

As a project engineer, I analyzed and quantified the lean concrete construction process (LCCP) with formwork in different countries in South America. Based on the information obtained in detailed assessment of the current state of any construction process, we created methods of improvement in order to follow an organized schedule for the construction. We helped our clients implement and improve the application of lean concrete construction processes. As an orientation advisor it was my job to guide about 50 students each day through the process of math placement and registration. Different presentations about the Freshman Engineering Program are provides to maximize the satisfaction and information provided to the new students.

As a Peer Mentor, it is my job to help an average of 14 incoming engineering freshmen with their transition from high school to college. During weekly 30 minutes one-on-one meetings, we cover important topics that will improve their first year experience.
