Following my tenure at GFS, I elected to move back to classroom teaching to enhance my teaching pedagogy and develop a readiness for future leadership opportunities. In the previous two years, I have been fortunate enough to increase my knowledge of Upper Key stage 2 by working as a Year 6 Class Teacher. This role has improved my classroom teaching from a rating of very good to outstanding following lesson observations. Additionally, this role has allowed me to be part of a much smaller team, providing me with more opportunities to engage in all areas of planning and assessment.During my second year, I have been involved in an assessment working party to discuss strategies and procedures and new ways to implement assessment across the school. Furthermore, I have made use of many opportunities to develop my skills with Apple (Apple Teacher) and also became a Seesaw Ambassador. These vocational aptitudes have equipped me to implement high-quality online sessions for a class that was heavily split between class teaching and home learning.

This is a seasonly position. I meet with potential applicants of the Camp American cultural exchange program. I meet applicants and ensure they are a suitable fit for camps in the US as well as ensuring they obtain a clean police clearance and fit the necessary child safeguarding policy.

My first two years in Dubai as an expatriate were spent at GEMS Founders School as a Year 4 Class Teacher. In my second year, I took on the role of Head of House, which offered me the opportunity to work with children and staff across the whole school, providing support where required. During the same year, I also took on the role of lead planner for Maths for thirteen classes, supporting the rollout of a new Maths scheme in school: Power Maths.Moreover, during this initial tenure, I was fortunate to have been involved in the planning and execution of two school trips, alongside the development and delivery of consistent smaller year group activities. My responsibilities further extended to designing and implementing child-centred learning activities to meet the needs of the children in my class.

This position was to promote the University of Sunderland as well as inspire younger people of the opportunities that present them at university. I had the opportunity of working with people from the age of 10 upwards.

During my time here, I had a variety of different roles and responsibilities. These included the daily operation of the gunrooms, product sales and customer service. While working here, I was promoted manager of the gunroom, with which came the adding responsibility of being a role model in a high-risk area, a formative experience at a young age. I thoroughly enjoyed this vocational role and still relished the challenges and experience it offered by working collaboratively with others and leading a team.
