This project informed PWC’s business case development that aimed to identify potential improvements across this nearly 1,000km-long corridor – improvements that would address access constraints for High Productivity Vehicles, unlock other opportunities for the local economy, and improve road safety, level-of-service and community-related considerations in this regional area of South Australia.

This included an acting position within the South Road Planning Team helping to investigate options to transform future stages of Adelaide’s main north-south arterial road corridor into a free-flowing route• Analysed the future public transport network to enable patronage optimisation and integration with the 30-Year Plan for Greater Adelaide. This required developing multiple public transport routes, resourcing and timetabling options, then liaising with modelling specialists to simulate patronage for each operating scenario• Investigated technical feasibility of tramtrain light-rail vehicles for the Adelaide network, including site visits with Deutschebahn• Successfully promoted project concepts to the department executive and staff from Infrastructure Australia, the Federal Government and local Council officers. Notable concepts that have attracted funding is the $358m project to grade-separate the Goodwood and Torrens Rail Junctions
