Application protocols include SIP, MGCP, Megaco, SS7, and H.323.My responsibility was to be the technical interface to our key customers such as Cisco, Nortel, Samsung, and Mitel. My responsibility was to support these customers from the inception of a project all the way to the deliverable product to the market. I was involved with design reviews, product development meetings, new feature requests and direct engineering support. Performed software and hardware integration based on Telogy Networks (division of TI) software, TI Digital Signal Processors (DSP) and MIPS 4KEC microprocessors. Software releases/patches integrated and tested prior to shipping to our primary customers via our Rational ClearCase/ClearQuest data base. Integration and test involved setting up hunt groups, dial plans as well as configuring gatekeepers and gateways. IP phones using Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) was a primary responsibility. I was considered to be one of our group’s experts in LCD/video technologies.

Integration and test of M/B Mini-M Land Earth Stations. These are Unix and DOS based voice, fax and data telecommunications systems that are installed in all ocean regions. We integrated the Nortel DMS 100 switch into these systems. The DMS 100 provided local services and connections to the PSTN as well as plain old telephone services (POTS) mobility management for cellular phone systems and business services such as Automatic Call Distribution (ACD), Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) and Meridian Digital Centrex. I performed site installations and maintenance on these systems world wide.
