• Designed and implemented a prototype instrument with the goal of logging and measuring pH and temperature of a cell-media sample.• Utilized the Henderson Hasselbalch equation to analyze peak ratios from a tri-color photodiode and LED light to determine pH.• Thermistor was placed within the sample as a means to measure temperature using the Steinhart-Hart equation. Required thermistor to be calibrated at certain temperatures. • Programmed the instrument using a TTL IO Board, syringe pump, tri-color photodiode, LED, pinch valves and LabVIEW to continuously record sample values every 5 minutes.
