Previously I have worked in many different fields of work including teaching, retail and sales in different aspects of each. I spent around 12 months completing an NVQ level 2 in primary teaching assistance through which I gained experience working in and out of the classroom. As the qualification was unpaid I was also working in a local shop to fund my living where I would be left to maintain the shops standards, work the deliveries and operate the till sometimes independently. After I had achieved my qualification I moved onto full time work which started in sales. I had worked in a variety in different climates but the work was mainly door to door pitching potential customers the products we had on offer. After a period of around four months, due to the commission based wage, I decided to move on to retail where I had more stability. All together I have worked in retail for 4 and a half years now through which time I have worked on many departments but have always stuck to the fundamental skills. The next step in my career was to train to become a manager with in a large retail store. I had gone through the training and learnt the appropriate skills necessary to run and manage a department within a store, but due to lack of opportunities in the business, I decided to find new challenges and push myself to become better. I am currently in a internal business development role based in Huddersfield.
