-Serves as active member of the University of South Carolina IT Leaders group as well as a core leadership member of the University of South Carolina Division of IT's Technical Review Board. -Serves as the primary liaison to UofSC Division of IT. Remains in contactwith IT management to ensure all Department of Athletics programs andsystems are updated and network compatible and that all security proceduresare in place in unison with the university. Works with Bursar's Office and the University Information Security Office to ensure all PCI compliance requirements are met and updated as needed.-Creates short and long term plans for Department of Athletics technologyneeds in close consultation with Department of Athletics administration. Plansare financially responsible while accounting for critical needs of bothstaff and facility infrastructures.-Supervises a professional information technology staff that assists in theprovision of resources to integrate Department of Athletics users with schooland university resources including servers, workstations, athletics facilities,databases and software applications.-Manages the implementation and operation of all aspects of the Departmentof Athletics computing, database, specialized computer and othertechnological resources and infrastructure.

Manage the coordination, execution and support of all information technology services for 350+ athletics employees, athletic venues, etc. Includes daily support of computer hardware and software for users, recommends upgrades when system performance is deemed inadequate. Evaluates user needs and problems, recommends solutions and trains users in the use of technology and university applications. Serves in the absence of the IT Director as needed, represents the Athletics IT Department as it relates to campus needs or communications w/ outside vendors or groups.Supervise part time employees. Conduct training for new employees. Assist in all aspects of infrastructure administration, updating and support. Direct day to day operations of desktop support activities.
