In my current role, I have led the establishment of a state-wide Disability Services Team at Queensland Corrective Services, dedicated to providing essential support for incarcerated individuals with disabilities. Responsible for clinical, operational and strategic directions, I have ensured the successful execution of the project and aligning its trajectory with the overarching organisational vision. My proactive efforts encompassed the recruitment and retention of staff across diverse tiers, while fostering robust relationships through nationwide networking initiatives. Business continuity planning and effective project management has created the foundation of our team with the successful permanency of the team being endorsed through State Budget. I have also delivered meaningful results managing a delegated budget to meet professional development and service delivery requirements within the team. I contributed to policy development, conducted compliance reviews and facilitated state-wide case conferences.
