Leading the population and survey work, including overseeing the Greater Houston Community Panel (GHCP), which is a longitudinal survey study following over 7,000 adults living in and around the Houston area. The GHCP is a social scientific tool that provides unparalleled insights into the lived experiences, preferences, needs, and aspirations of Houston-are residents. This includes information on civic engagement, financial stability and practices, health care access and outcomes, mental health and well-being, experiences with crime and safety, and housing affordability challenges. Additionally, the GHCP provides the platform for the Kinder Houston Area Survey, the longest running survey of any major metropolitan area in the nation, about to undertake its 44th annual collection in January 2025. The Houston Population Reach Center creates, designs, programs, tests, fields, and collects data for each of its surveys. Researchers also analyze and publish reports highlighting the findings from the survey collections.
