A custody sergeant plays a vital role in the management and operation of a police custody facility. Manage and lead 15 Authorised Firearms Officers to ensure that the Joint Firearms Unit can respond to calls to service, protect the public and bring violent offenders to justice.Ensure that my staff comply with the police code of ethics and are up to date with all mandatory training. Manage Rotas and sickness as well as disciplinary issues within my team. Manage a fleet of specialist vehicles and weapons to ensure they are fit for purpose to respond to high threat incidents.
