During my time at Trissential, I've worked for several different clients, fulfilling needs ranging from process improvement and fine-grained manual testing to full regression test automation of a proprietary scanning device and heading a team to automate Power BI application UI testing. Java is my primary coding language, but I've had to pick up other languages to meet client needs. I've done a decent amount of coding in C# and have some CSS and JavaScript experience. I also used Python, C++, Prolog, and SQL in university, though it's been a while since I've used them. I enjoy challenging work and learning new things. Starting out at Trissential I had to learn a new automation framework, Sikuli, and within a year of usage I had gained enough experience in it to suggest improvements to the way we'd been interacting with the framework. At a previous client there was a need to test scanning software on an Android driven device while simultaneously coordinating a Windows server application, with a focus on the testing being graphically driven rather than in a non-human. The solution I came up with leveraged the image-recognition capabilities of Sikuli alongside an open source Android-device-displaying program, scrcpy. This allowed for the code to all be executed in a single thread, ensuring there were no communication issues between Windows & Android, and also making the resulting code simpler and easier to maintain. I am constantly looking for ways to improve existing processes, whether it be in the product under test, allocation of resources, or an opportunity to reduce workload for a team. Early in my Trissential time, I tracked server patch request data in order to reduce the number of graveyard shifts the team needed to work. This drastically reduced 1 AM to 9 AM shifts and allowed focusing resources on times that received greater density of requests. At my most recent client, I filled a gap in data testing by developing a tool to compare exports of Power BI reports from before and after releases to ensure any unexpected values were caught and addressed.
