I have more than 40 years’ experience across a broad range of functions in Information Technology and Information Systems, with nearly 30 years in Leadership, Senior Management, Project and Programme Management roles. I have been successful in improving the delivery capability within organisations, bringing about greater efficiencies through the effective deployment and structure of People, Process and Technology. I have an excellent track record in the successful management of both challenging and strategic projects and programmes.In 2005 I obtained a postgraduate Diploma in Management & Management Practice from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business.I took a sabbatical during 2015/16 for personal reasons and to take care of some items on my bucket list, which included a successful expedition to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro. It also gave me the opportunity to assess my future career strategy. Following my sabbatical, I decided not to go back into full-time employment but to rather focus on short to medium term (6-12month) opportunities where I can add value.To this end I have successfully accomplished the following initiatives:• Design of an Enterprise Project Management Office for Old Mutual Africa (Oct. 2016 to Feb. 2017)• The management of an IT Services Transition Project on behalf of OptiNet (Jun. 2017 to Jan. 2018) • Establish COE for Product Application Management & Support at Woolworths (Jul. '18 to Aug. '19) After a short sabbatical, I'll be on the lookout for short to medium term (6-12month) opportunities, where I can apply my knowledge, skills and experience for mutual benefit.
