Engineer - Avionics, Instruments & Gnc Sr.
CurrentI am the Responsible Engineer for the Command and Data Handling hardware for the Mark 1 Lunar Lander. As the technical lead and owner for the overall C&DH system with the charge of delivering hardware to the program, I make all technical task assignments for my team of 7+ hardware engineers. I lead technical trades of various solutions, triage and lend support to hardware related issues, and make sure our designs close and fill the requirements of the rest of the avionics subsystem. I have lead the interview process and hiring of multiple engineers, and act as a mentor for several junior engineers. I have supported our gated reviews including PDR and CDR, including going above and beyond my assigned role and developing initial manufacturing and test plans.Previous to being assigned the role of C&DH Responsible Engineer, I designed flight hardware for the same Mark 1 program. I prototyped and ran verification testing on a complex analog and mixed-signal design, utilizing multiple digital design elements of modest speed. I was assigned as Responsible Engineer for several of the Remote I/O boxes within the greater C&DH subsystem, in which my flight hardware designs were hosted.
Engineer - Avionics, Instruments & Gnc Iii
I work as a part of the New Glenn Embedded verification and validation team. The tester I have been developing is designed to perform full performance checks on many different signal and actuator types, holding to often very tight accuracy requirements. This tester will be used by both internal Blue employees and external vendors to conduct Acceptance and Qualification campaigns against several controller configurations. I also develop custom test setups and PCBAs to facilitate the testing needs of the team at large. Special attention is given to reviewing customer requirements and ensuring they are attainable within the program scope.
