Dakar, Senegal

A short term role supporting staff and projects in the Africa Regional and Sahel teams. I provided general administration support for the office, including organising and managing travel and expense claims, and providing IT support. I also held English conversational classes for Francophone colleagues.

Canterbury & West Coast, New Zealand

Following the Canterbury Earthquakes in 2010 and 2011 the New Zealand Red Cross set up a series of grants to help people recover. I verified and processed qualifying grants, managed queries and complaints, liaised with Councillors, community engagement workers and members of the community to spread awareness of available grants and listen to their needs. I also researched information for potential new grants.
