I am responsible for launching the new Made in Yorkshire region with my Made in Yorkshire Director, championing even more UK manufacturing through local events, and the MIY online platform. Working with like minded individuals looking to source supply, and collaborate in the local area in manufacturing and engineering. Made in Yorkshire is a Trade business network; a local organisation of businesses whose goal is to further the interests of businesses – specific to manufacturing in Yorkshire. Each firm is represented at boardroom level from companies located in towns and cities in Yorkshire and from this local society to advocate on behalf of the manufacturing and engineering community. Regional businesses are members. Driven by regular steering groups and focus groups to advise on continued improvements. We are currently appointing a non-executive board which is open to member firms within the manufacturing community to further advise on strategic direction and lobbying to national and local government.The organisation acts as a platform for firms to source and supply with one another, collaborate and improve their businesses – all independent of the public sector.I traditionally meet and communicate with regional Managing Directors and CEO's to understand their business needs and problems through site visits and offer marketing and business solutions to enable them to engage with local companies at board room level in order to source, supply and collaborate. Helping to promote companies through our online platforms, PR and our networking events to make new connections and facilitate new business opportunitiesThis role entails planning and hosting network mornings, an annual manufacturing exhibition, annual manufacturing awards, evening socials and being immersed in the Manufacturing and Engineering community.

Working to daily, monthly and quarterly deadlines • Responsible for all Sales staff and Targets. • Set staff 1-1s and introduce a Personal Development Plan with each staff member. • Plan and execute effective outreach with Leads Targets • Advertise in the area with a set budget • Day to day involvement with the running of the club • Rota work and resolve any staffing issues • Ensure retention percentage was on target by introducing retention schemes • Report to Area Sales manager every week with a De-Brief of past week and plan for the next • Resolve any customer complaints • In charge of all Social Media accounts and activity/presence • Available for call outs
