I am Co-Head of Weil's global White Collar Defense, Regulatory & Investigations practice. I have 20+ years of experience in senior private practice and government prosecutorial positions, in which I've focused on regulatory enforcement, government and internal investigations, white collar criminal defense, and complex litigation. I'm recognized as a leading white collar practitioner in New York and nationally, including by Chambers USA and Legal 500.I have broad experience in investigations involving securities fraud, insider trading, public corruption, foreign corrupt practices, criminal tax offenses, money laundering, economic sanctions, and cybercrime, especially in the financial services sector.I previously served for a decade in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York (S.D.N.Y.), with two terms of duty. Most recently, I was Chief of the S.D.N.Y.’s Criminal Division, where I oversaw all of the office's criminal prosecutions and investigations. Immediately prior to serving as Chief of the Criminal Division, I was Chief Counsel to the U.S. Attorney. Earlier, in my first tour in that office, I was an assistant U.S. attorney, where I investigated and prosecuted cases involving a wide range of federal crimes, including several major criminal public corruption cases. Prior to joining Weil, I worked in private practice, including leadership roles, at a number of other international law firms.
