• Establish strategies, determine priorities, project goals and assess results by working with plant leadership• Establish and monitor an effective continuous improvement project list to ensure we deliver our commitments• Identify and eliminate process waste by continually driving a cultural shift in the organization with sustainable results by evaluating gaps and identifying solutions• Ensure improvement team targets are consistently met or exceeded by using DBS principles and Lean Manufacturing methods and practices.• Provide regular business management metrics on progress by establishing, reporting process metrics

Continuous Improvement Responsibilities: - Promoting and facilitating the successful implementation of lean manufacturing & continuous improvement techniques within the Aerospace Air value stream. - Assist in achieving the Policy Deployment and Strategic Plan objectives of the Redruth plant & Aerospace business unit. - Maintain and manage the value stream Kaizen & Improvements funnel. - Provide formal and informal continuous improvement training and coaching - Benchmark improvements and incorporate best practicesManufacturing Engineer Responsibilities: - Manufacturing lead for new product introduction with input to design processes. - Investigate product and process non-conformances, find root cause and implement corrective actions. - Responsible for product and process tooling including design, fabrication, validation, organisation, and maintenance. - Responsible for all manufacturing documentation and training including work instructions, BoMs and routings - Developing process improvements to increase overall cell and value stream efficiency, always keeping in mind simplifying paperwork, processes, and automation to increase efficiency and competitiveness.

As a Graduate Engineer:-Undertook various projects within various departments to gain exposure to all aspects the business-Spent a period working with the Manufacturing Engineering Department working on a number of project including the investigation of labour and material variances, and the designing of manufacturing fixtures-Spent a number of months working as a New Product Introduction Engineer, project managing a number of new products entering production-Involved with the migration from MAPICS to SAP as our MRP system, which allowed me to become a proficient user of SAP.
