Ive been with Ald thermal treatment 4 years, I started at entry level production associate, I completed my training matrix close within my first 6 months, I was promoted after my first year, lab technician is my current title. I specialize in overall hardness test studies performed on customer transmission gears as well as Cam shafts, before my time at ALD I attended Can-weld of Sarnia, ON. As well as took part in pervious years for Manufacturing technology through Sarnia’s tech program I learned how to clean heavy machinery such as lathes, industrial belt washer Ext. I first learned how to Stick, Mig and Tig weld. I attended this program for 4 years, throughout my remaining time with Sarnia Scits Highschool. In more recent years, I’ve accomplished more training such as Facilities Maintenance on my off days through ALD job duties cleaning such as, offices, shop floors, bathrooms, break rooms, around and behind machinery. Changing of over head lighting throughout shop, painting interior walls, beams, floors, isle ways etc. also have preformed duties on Our Hvac lines/treatment chambers, temper ovens. Preforming PMs such as washing belt washers, cleaning of treatment chambers to ensure quenching and carbonization has clean and clear path ways for heat treatment processes. Repairs on modules to ensure machines are running properly, assisting other maintenance techs in variety of PMs/Calibration process checks.
