I currently work in the Farming and Countryside Programme’s Science, Monitoring and Evaluation teamwhere I support in the design and delivery of Defra's evaluation of the government's Environmental Land Management (ELM) schemes.

Supported service improvement and preparation and implementation of new Adult Care reforms. Key responsibilities included:-undertaking research in relation to new policy, legislation and best practice relevant to local government provision of Adult Care- Coordinating directorate responses to new government policy and legislation - Strategy design and drafting-Analysing service intelligence and data, preparing and presenting findings, making recommendations to senior management and elected officials-Supporting continuous improvement through benchmarking-Providing policy support to senior management through the preparation of briefings, management of work streams and working groups.

I supported Justice Analytical Services at Scottish Government where I produced high quality analysis and research to advise Ministers and government officials and develop the Violence Against Women and Girls’ research portfolio.Key responsibilities included:- The production and publication of a rigorous and high profile international rapid evidence assessment.- The design, development and production of an internal evaluation of a pilot which is due to be upscaled nationally. The evaluation comprised qualitative research with pilot partners, qualitative and quantitative analysis of monitoring and survey data, and the drafting and publication of two reports.- Response to parliamentary questions both within the Scottish Parliament and Westminster, Freedom of Information requests, and Ministerial letters to external stakeholders.- Regular presentation (oral and written) of findings to internal and external stakeholders including Ministers.

Worked in the compilation of a cross-country database for the assessment of the influence and impact of academics on government SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) policy and outputs. Designed and distributed an extensive multi-lingual survey across 8 different countries and collated data. The project results were disseminated at the UN Forum and platforms.More recently I examined data from cross-national survey on local and regional government engagement with the SDGs post Covid-19 outbreak, translated and drafted initial report and conducted interviews with government officials in Latin America.

Facilitated seminars for undergraduate Politics students in multiple modules across stages covering several subjects (political economy, international relations, democratic institutions).I was awarded the Jenny Halcrow Teaching Prize twice by the School of Geography, Politics and Sociology for significantly enhancing undergraduate students' educational experience.
