Lab Assistant
- Created systematic experimental procedure manual to investigate particle growth behavior of aerosol catalyzed by UV lights
- Monitored 12 hour long large-scale experiments and discovered negligible particle growth at near ambient light conditions
- Implemented open loop controls and sensors to monitor critical parameters such as humidity, temperature, and flowrates
- Reported findings and inquiries to principal investigator for feedback and changes system accordingly
Teachers Assistant
Art of Engineering- Prepared weekly lab experiments for students that focused on the reaction kinetics behind laundry detergents via the breakdown of proteins with enzymes using casein and protease. Had students vary concentration and calculate rates of protein breakdown to produce the Michaelis-Menten saturation curve
Quality Assurance Intern - Abrasive Systems Division
- Reviewed over 4,000 abrasive wheel requirements, specifications and technical design documents
- Added value to facility and customers by identifying $50,000 worth of defective wheels before shipment
- Apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
- Tracked quality assurance metrics, like open defect counts to assist engineers in troubleshooting defective product
