I’m a Sociology major with a minor in Child and Adolescent development. I am deeply committed to working with families and children, particularly those in marginalized groups, with a particular focus on the Latino community. My passion lies in supporting and assisting individuals within these communities, striving to address their unique needs and challenges. I have five years of experience working in family settings, serving as an after-school program teacher for children from kindergarten to elementary school. Additionally, I specialize in working with children on the autism spectrum, providing one-on-one support to families. Beyond my work with families, I actively volunteer through my community church, collaborating with various organizations to support and uplift the community. One of the recent projects that I recently worked on is the Clarion-Y Project at San Jose State University (Civic Literacy, Action and Reasoning in Online Networks), which develops a curriculum to support youth in using emerging technologies to investigate, discuss, and act on social and climate issues. The experience I have encountered demonstrates my commitment to holistic child development and community engagement.I am consistently easier to forge. My passion lies in seising opportunities to make meaningful impacts within these communities, new connections and engage with diverse communities
