Created a weekly newsletter breaking down the latest developments in deep tech scientific research.Writing analytical articles on commercially viable trends from deep tech scientific research.

Analysed and benchmarked cutting-edge academic research and industrial approaches to identify the most suitable methodologies, guide product development and invent innovative solutions to engineering problems.Delivered concise technical presentations to advise colleagues and upper management on the most effective engineering solutions.Designed and performed computer modelling of state-of-the-art passive and active photonics devices for integrated photonics systems using the FEM and FDTD methodologies.Optimised state-of-the-art photonic devices using various techniques (inverse design, Monte Carlo, and genetic algorithms). Liaised with foundries to ensure correct manufacturing of the photonic devices. Created Python scripts for data analysis and manipulation.

Generated new ideas and concepts for group-IV semiconductor devices based on extensive literature reviews.Developed advanced physics models, such as electronic bandstructure calculations for semiconductors, in the Python programming language.Designed and simulated the mechanical, optical and electronic properties of group-IV photonic devices using FDTD and FEM.Plotted and analysed experimental data.Led an international research team consisting of four PhD students.Established and maintained various academic and industrial collaborations.
