Geru is a fintech that innovated the personal loan market offering lower interest rates thantraditional financial institutions, the fastest credit approval of the market, no bureaucracy (the whole approval process is online) and a great new digital experience for this kind of operation.I am part of Credit squad where I am responsible for implementing and maintaining the credit policy service and all satellite micro-services that it requires, like data collectors to build the user’s financial profile. All backend development is done under agile philosophy using python. The codebase is hosted by Github hooked with CircleCI for automatic deployment on AWS using docker containersand Kubernetes for orchestration. Geru’s development stack includes Pyramid framework for weband API development, Celery and Redis for distributing tasks, PostgreSQL for core systems andMongoDB for analytics and credit analysis. Unit testing is mandatory for all systems and enforced inCircleCI.

My role was to guarantee that technological decisions and integration approaches were compatible with business needs for digital content production. Technically, I was responsible for data modelling, responsive web development (full stack), content manager customisation (development of new features, integration with social medias) and API development, focusing on micro services. For deployment, we used AWS as IaaS and I was responsible for managing services like EC2, RDS, Route 53 and IAM. Finally, I also produced images, graphics and arts that is published along with content in our platform.

System Interact is a company with more than 15 years in Credit Recovery and Call Center withmore than 500 employees and it has banks as its main clients. With a team of software developers we builded tailored call center applications, on a web-based platform called Vocalcom, for our clients. These solutions range from credit recovery and customer service to promotional telemarketing. In 2013 we successfully deployed a credit recovery system to help a Brazilian Water Service Company in Amazonia to recover more than R$ 15 million in debts.In addition we designed a flexible, general-purpose, product-promoting management system to tackle asap the urgent demand of companies. This system helped speed up deployment time, allowing a promotion telemarketing campaign to be started in three days in contrast with the regular 15 days.

ABN Amro Bank was one of the top 5 private banks in Brazil with more than 20 million clients.During the time I worked at the bank I was focused on Customer Relationship Management. I took part in dozens of projects and attended most of the Brazilian seminars in this field. At first the challenge was to develop routines for data cleansing, matching, transforming, and loading (in the database). Additionally, I was responsible for extracting and monitoring marketing campaigns which comprised understanding the internal client’s needs and convert it into a process. As automated systems for data and campaign management was bought by the bank, I started to work primarily as an information analyst, actively interacting with internal areas to identify and bring more information to our database. I produced several in-depth studies to help the internal clients to better delineate their marketing campaigns. As the need for a database management area raised, part of the team got a new challenge: expand the bank’s CRM database, making it more accessible and user friendly to the internal clients. I was designated as the Coordinator of this area.Some of the achievements at the bank worthy to share:- deployment of a centralised database which aggregated information from approximately 20different internal systems in more than 100 million records;- shortening the marketing campaign’s SLA from 10 to 5 work days (we deployed around 700marketing campaigns per year in average);- Training internal clients in proper information usage to produce studies and reportsindependently;- Definition of a comprehensive policy and procedure for importing and using informationacquired from third-party information bureaus;- Unification of two databases from banks bought by ABN Amro.
