Ecuador

After building a relationship with Ecuadorian NGO, Fundación Raíz, I learned about specific Amazon communities’ struggles with water security due to recent pollution from oil drilling up stream. - Raised over $10,000 for a well project and helped organized labor and materials with local contractors.- Our team travelled via boat deep into the Amazon and built the well over a 2-week period living in the Siekopai village.- The Siekopai community, based in the Lagartococha region of the Amazon, now have year-round access to clean water. - Since the original well development, I have helped advise on multiple other projects using the same fundraising structure set up on the Siekopai project.
