Following the acquisition of Bolloré Logistics by CMA CGM Group from the Bolloré Group on February 29th, 2024, Bolloré Logistics is now part of the CEVA Logistics making it the fifth largest logistics company in the world. Despite the company name change, my role as a key account manager remains same with better opportunities under the CMA CGM's CEVA Logistics reach.

Manage and oversee the growth and retention of one of the company’s top tier client accounts. I do so by nurturing key relationships that align Bollore Logistics as a strategic partner. This include ensuring client expectations are met and; working with client and other partners to discover new opportunities for mutual benefits.Key Responsibilities include:• Developing first class long-term relationships with the client• Connecting with key business executives and stakeholders• Liaising between the client, suppliers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions in line with the contractual agreement.• Maintaining and reviewing relevant documents such as SOP, tariffs and daily reports• Organizing monthly and quarterly review meetings with client• Helping develop new business propositions by analyzing existing operational capabilities.• Analyzing root causes of metrics below minimum requirements with local and regional operational management staff.• Providing cost analysis and solutions to the client to aid client make informed financial decision.• Reviewing data quality based on client’s global requirements and taking steps to ensure it is updated accordingly.• Acting as intermediary between operations staff in US and Canada branches, the Control Tower in each region and the North American suppliers.• Finding alternative solutions in the event of any deviations that may be at geographical level.

While continuing to build a career within the company, I took advantage of Bollore Logistics' global footprint to explore new experiences and establish professional networks.Responsibilities include:• International export processing of aerospace vertical shipments for two top-tier clients – Airbus (Civil, Helicopters and Defense) and Zodiac/Recaro Seat global accounts.• Other duties include KPI monitoring, export custom filing and customer services such as recovering cargos from shippers and suppliers, freight processing, tendering to carriers and billing network offices and client.

Graduate Management Trainee programme within the Bollore Logistics group requires a high degree of flexibility from an individual. The title of the scheme does not limit the duties of the trainee and is expected from time to time to undertake certain activities within capacity and expertise. As a trainee at the London Heathrow Air Hub facility, I am responsible directly to the General Manager of the branch and my daily activities include and not limited to transport logistics, warehousing, aerospace (air cargo) and project management.

Enlisted into Royal Logistics Corps (British Army) and I served for 7 and half years. Responsibilities include ensuring demands (ranging from rations, clothing, ammunition, blood supplies and transport in peace times and on operations) of 1st line customers were met in time. I worked mostly unsupervised in stock control and assisted in stores management including. This led to significant improvement in tracking stock and inventory within the logistics and supply department. My responsibilities also included ensuring inventory integrity and liaising with line managers in resolving customers’ complaints. This improved relationship with clients by building trust and improving transparency. Within the 7 and half years service, there was a number of experience and positions held at various locations.

Following recommendation and promotion to a team leader role (Lance Corporal), I was entrusted to assist senior management in running a storehouse with over 2000 items, and a value of over £3 million. Responsibilities included leading, mentoring and developing a team of 10 junior soldiers under my command to ensure smooth operation of the storehouse. This role helped to improved performance as a result of meeting customers demand, delivery schedule and successfully passing all periodic equipment care inspections (ECI) by military auditing team.

This two months residential upscaling course as a logistics supervisor at Defence College of Logistics and Personal Administration formed part of my promotion course. Successful completion led to an award of NVQ certificate in logistics supervision (equivalent of level 5 diploma). This allowed me to develop specialist skills in the management and supervision of general military logistics. This qualified me to supervise the handling (loading and unloading) and shipping of dangerous goods class 1 to 9 under ADR, IATA, ICAO, IMDG, regulations. It was also am opportunity to gain certification in supervising the use of bespoke military logistics information system such as Management of Joint Deployment Inventory (MJDI) and Visibility In Transit Asset Logging (VITAL).

Deployed as part of a 100 contingent workforce to British Army Training Unit Suffield (BATUS) to provide logistics support role to an exercising brigade (organisation) prior to their operational tour in Afghanistan. Working as an attached personnel to the Royal Electrical and mechanical Engineers (REME) vehicle repairs workshop, my responsibilities included scheduling demands, managing spare-parts and inventories and reserve supply chain for the workshop.Efficient and effective working relationship with the engineers in this support role resulted in fast throughput of vehicles that came to the workshop thereby exceeding all weekly targets during the tour.

This was an opportunity to deploy on a six month operational tour of Afghanistan where I worked as part of a team, in a multi-national environment, (Tri-Nation Ammunition Support Compound). Responsibilities included receipt, storage, accounting, managing and issuing of a range of in-country ammunition stocks for all United Kingdom dependancies and allied forces in the Kandahar region. The post gave me an excellent opportunity to work at ease in a diverse environment under a demanding and challenging situations where working under tight time frame was the norm.

Within this residential phase, I gained the needed theoretical and practical training to become a logistics and supply professional. I also improved my leadership and team working skills within this period. The transport programme provided me with theoretical and practical driver and transport management training which upon completion led to the award of categories B, C and D1driving licences. I also gained vocational and non-vocational qualification in operating and instructing personnel in the use of mechanical handling equipments (MHEs).
