As an independent recording engineer and musician, I provide various services to my clients. I have a small project studio that can accommodate vocalists and singer/songwriters. I am also comfortable working in larger recording studios. In addition to tracking, I am available to edit and/or mix previously recorded tracks. Finally, I also enjoy contributing to projects as an instrumentalist, primarily piano and keyboards but also on guitar and bass.

In recognition of my increasing contributions, I was promoted to a more expansive position that included my existing responsibilities as well as formalized my new roles with our development and analytics teams.To help make IT the one-stop shop for technical issues, I serve as the liaison between the end users and development team as far as software defects are concerned. I triage problem reports and gather requirements to pass along to the appropriate resource, making sure issues are properly addressed while shielding end users from as much technical jargon as possible. Upon taking the role, I was instrumental in defining the workflow the development team now adheres to.Secondly, as the company began experiencing performance issues with our reporting infrastructure, I led the effort to find a replacement solution, eventually recommending Domo. I then led the initial implementation effort, collaborating with our analytics team and vendors to migrate our reporting to the new system. I guided the team in building data pipelines, implementing best practices, data documentation, and managing requests and additional requirements, delegating work as appropriate. While not an official manager or member of the analytics department, from an operational perspective, I am the de facto leader (Major Domo) of the Domo project on an ongoing basis. I continue to work with our team to consolidate reporting on the platform and serve as the point-person for all things Domo.

In my role at Walker, I serve as the "face of IT". I interact with our Walker Heroes on a daily basis and triage their service requests, ensuring they get handled by the appropriate people. In addition to user-facing support, I also administer our Office 365 and Active Directory services for 100+ users.During my tenure, we completed a facility move with zero operational downtime. I played a key role in several major projects including a complete fleet refresh with a budget of more than $100k, designing and building a state-of-the-art conference room, implementing Azure DevOps and Scrum methodology with our internal and third-party development teams, and creating custom employee-facing apps.I have been able to utilize my unique skill set, personality and experience to bring value to Walker Advertising that reaches beyond the IT office. I am a valued member of the company and am considered one of the go-to employees for problem solving and critical thinking.

I am the pianist in a group of musicians that usually includes a drummer, bassist, several guitarists and several vocalists. We get together to rehearse and play each Sunday evening for a teen-oriented mass.

As one of a three-member IT team for the UCLA School of Dentistry, I wore a few different hats. I was the primary contact for the desktop support needs of the school's faculty, staff, students and trainees - approximately 700 people.I was fortunate to have expanded my role to include many systems administration duties that included building and maintaining the web servers and domain controllers. I also investigated and deployed solutions for file sharing, backup, thin clients, network monitoring, help desk ticketing and remote support.This position provided the opportunity to explore many different technologies, troubleshoot many different problems and deal with all sorts of personalities.

At Inspired By, I, along with several others, edited the old testament portion of the award-winning audio bible, "The Bible Experience". I also had the pleasure of recording some of the performances and even lent my voice to a few small parts.

Foxxhole is Jamie Foxx's personal studio. Here, I spent a lot of time recording his various projects and guest artists, either in the engineer chair or in the assistant chair beside chief engineer, Orlando Rashid. It was here that I got my first engineering credit, on Foxx's "Unpredictable". Another highlight of my time here was working on a track that made it onto Snoop Dogg's album, "Tha Blue Carpet Treatment".

As the sole IT support professional for the church and associated school, I managed a 40-user, 34-workstation network. During my tenure, I migrated the domain from Windows NT to Windows Server 2003 and added centralized file storage as well as anti-malware and backup solutions. I was also instrumental in reducing costs while increasing productivity by changing our internet service provider.

As the lead musician for the church, I played piano and rehearsed and led a five-piece band (drums, guitar, bass, organ, piano) for all Sunday services and several special events throughout the year. I also worked closely with the production director to provide professional recordings of each week's services to be distributed online and via CD.

As a staff engineer, I worked with several A-list recording artists as well as many independent artists, all in a professional and respectful manner. I was also responsible for the general upkeep of the studio as well as training junior employees, interns and runners. As the resident technology expert, I maintained the studio digital audio workstations and provided computer support for the other staff and clients.

As the scheduling assistant, I maintained the operating schedules for nine computer labs at UCSB's Instructional Computing. At the time, we used Now-Up-To-Date to schedule and publish calendars. I worked with the faculty liaisons to process faculty scheduling requests and also developed a standard for e-mail communications between our faculty liaisons and UCSB faculty.

Instructional Computing faculty liaisons were the face of IC for the UC Santa Barbara faculty and students. As part of this team, I communicated with our constituents via e-mail, phone, and in-class presentations in order to increase awareness of the resources that we had and to encourage everyone to take advantage of the labs. We also worked internally with the scheduling assistant to ensure faculty requests were managed properly.

As a lab consultant for UCSB's Instructional Computing labs, I supervised and supported 4 PC labs and 5 Mac labs on a rotating basis with the other consultants. I was responsible for the physical security of the lab's property as well as providing answers to any questions or issues that would arise during use. I also taught in-lab workshops on the various software applications we provided.
