• This was a promotion from On-Site Co-ordinator (below), but with additional responsibilities for managing the technical work of the site team.• Lead a multi-lingual development team comprising engineers in three locations (Kunming, Shanghai and Manchester) and two time zones, to develop some new GUI, server and database features for the UltraDB (AODB) and UltraResource (RMS) products for Ultras core China software.• Provide additional development and consultation capacity to the UK and China projects as required.

• As a member of the Kunming project team I provided technical expertise and training to the newly formed (and recruited) project team; where training covered the required technical knowledge of the systems and how to work with the quality processes.• I performed most of the requirements analysis and technical negotiations with the customer (through use of a translator) as part of the system design stage of the project.• I was responsible for installation and upgrading the UltraDB (AODB), UltraResource (RMS) and UltraIB (ESB) systems in Kunming and for managing and maintaining them. Additionally I have provided technical expertise in the system integration work for the operational messaging system on the Kunming project.• Providing a liaison between the Kunming site and the UK development team (including managing people and work in different timezones and who speak different languages).• Generating test specifications for assorted stages of testing and overseeing the testing.• Provide in-region expert support for Shanghai Pu Dong and Hongqiao airports.• Perform installations of UltraDB (AODB) and UltraIB (ESB) software at Singapore Changi airport.

Supported the live operational UltraFIDS (FIDS) system installed at Incheon airport, performing: routine maintenance, creating daily reports, investigating and fixing bugs, installing new builds and liaising with and customers as well as UK and regional Ultra staff.
