As an advocate for social justice, I give liberating leadership to the public policy and social activism initiatives at FWBC. I mobilize and organize communities beyond the church to advocate in areas such as: criminal justice reform, fair lending practices, health, impoverishment, radical truth telling and transformation, voter engagement, and international justice issues. As a consultant, I lend my voice to panels around social justice issues, conduct workshops for developing justice ministries and teach churches how to decolonize their mission trips. I serve as the Co-convener of the Samuel DeWitt Proctor Conference. I serve on Board of Directors for President Jimmy Carter’s New Baptist Covenant and Faith Cooperative Federal Credit Union.
