Trained and worked most of my Registered Nurse career at Penn State Health Hershey. Hired shortly after completing my RN, after years of being a Licensed Practical Nurse, entering the nurse residency program. Hands on Operating Room specific training lasts nine months and rotates through General, Orthopedic, ENT, Plastic, Thoracic, Eye, GU, GYN, Robotic GYN, and Neurosurgery. Six years experience working with Neurosurgery, comfortable in craniotomies, spine instrumentation, and tumor resections. Prior to joining the Neurosurgical team I was a member of the GU/GYN team. Hershey is a level one trauma center, working 7a-7p, I was able to take part in countless emergency surgeries.Currently using my years of experience working with pediatrics and adults in level one trauma centers as an OR travel nurse. Staying current with proper aseptic technique, procedures, and medical advancements. Providing a safe environment for patients and staff.
