As the Head Coach of the Vancouver Whitecaps Academy Prospects Program in Nova Scotia, I lead the development of the province’s top female soccer players. My role includes designing and implementing high-performance training sessions, guiding technical and tactical development, and fostering a positive environment that emphasizes player growth and excellence both on and off the field.Through a holistic coaching approach, I ensure the athletes not only succeed in sport but also develop leadership skills, resilience, and a strong sense of teamwork.Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute training programs that align with Whitecaps' professional standards. Identify and mentor high-potential athletes for progression through elite soccer pathways. Collaborate with regional and national coaches to ensure player performance meets and exceeds competitive benchmarks. Developed and lead an evidence-based, feminist framed leadership development program to increase apprentice coach confidence and competence to lead in collegiate sport through Zoom education sessions. Led communications and fund development initiatives for Kids Run Club, a province-wide no-cost running program that encourages and teaches Nova Scotia kids healthy and active habits for life.

Planned, implemented and evaluated marketing and communications strategy and tactics for Nova Scotia's largest provincial sport organization. Specialized in social media and website engagement through story telling. Coordinated Soccer NS high performance program travel, administration and planning. Managed and supported special events, camps and provincial championships.

Head coach and assistant coach for numerous club teams for over seven years including U16/U17 AAA girls head coach for 3 years. In 2017, started Halifax CITY championship women’s team to ensure grade 12 and university aged players continued to have a competitive place to play and enjoy the game. Goalkeeper trainer for 7 years.

Coordinated text-based media through creating monthly promotional posters for recreation and varsity athletics events and programming. Photography at varsity events. Assisted with event planning including providing hospitality and helping to hosting events such as the ACAA basketball and volleyball championships, annual athletics initiative dinner, and year-end athletics and academic banquet. Helped to create annual varsity fundraising campaign; lead creative.

Completed 45 one-hour long presentations reaching over 1100 junior and senior high students at schools across Nova Scotia promoting skilled trade and technology careers and SCNS programs. Welcomed and briefed over 1350 people at Nova Scotia Skills Competition events. Scheduled and organized school tours for three Nova Scotia Skills Competition events for over 1250 students and 110 teachers. Contacted over 150 schools promoting SCNS presentations, and created a schedule for school presentations across the province.

Acted as assistant editor of The Teacher, the primary publication for over 10,600 union members; wrote feature stories, teacher profiles, upcoming event articles and book reviews; copy editor. Wrote news releases and fact sheets for public opinion campaigns including the Cut to the Core campaign and the presentation of a 20,000 signature petition to the Nova Scotia legislature. Wrote speeches for the NSTU President and MSVU Vice-President for summits and conferences. Facilitated television (CBC and Global) interviews with the NSTU President; facilitated a radio interview (News 95.7) with the world renowned educational psychologist Joseph Renzulli. Monitored media presence in local outlets through Cision. Created media briefing sheets with talking points for the NSTU President. Generated an advertisement concept about the effects of education funding cuts; published in the Cape Breton Post.
