Worked Outages 2R18 and 1R19 during the fall months, not consecutive.• Hazardous Waste Specialist-Capabilities include hand separating materials from waste bags and placing them in appropriate containers or drums; sorting oily solids and paint materials; use of vacuum pump to transfer materials from containers; and emptying filled paint cans.• Responsibilities included completing and manually filling out daily log sheets and daily inspection reports; hand labeled tanks, and assisted in weekly inspection logs. Trained in filling out hazardous waste accumulation labels and hand writing hazardous waste sampling conducted throughout the facility including radiological controlled areas.• Familiar with EPA Federal and State Hazardous Waste Codes and DOT packaging and coding of Hazardous Waste and Materials.• DCPP Qualifications: Ability to Operate a Forklift, Ability to Perform the Daily Hazardous Waste Inspection, and Ability to Label Hazardous Waste Containers.

Performed multi-faceted environmental inspections of numerous sites throughout California and Texas. The inspections ensured compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, pertaining to air quality, hazardous waste and materials, solid waste, drinking, industrial and storm water, asbestos, aboveground and underground storage tank management and other environmental functional areas.Other capabilities include supporting staff for tasks associated with the Domestic Wastewater Program. The program encompasses all municipal wastewater discharges from the main cantonment area to the Publicly Owned Treatment Works, as well as two state waste discharge requirements permit. Tasks include quarterly sampling and reporting, overseeing the laboratory subcontractor required for compliance sampling, an annual wastewater inventory, and various special projects.

Typical equipment and systems involved included; Antenna Support Structures, the South Base Power Plant (5, 3000 KVA Natural Gas Powered Turbines), Emergency Stand-by Generators, Diesel Electric Units (DEUs), Pressure Vessels, Air Conditioning Systems, Boilers, Utility and Plumbing Systems, Electrical Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, Building Maintenance, and Security Systems.

Worked as a LUFT/SMU specialist, who was responsible for implementation of 50 different sites under the Leaking Underground Fuel Tank Program, 20 sites under the Site Mitigation Program, and also participated in the Countywide emergency response and complaint investigation. Reviewed and analyzed risk and remediation plans to evaluate the viability of the proposed cleanup, and conducted routine periodic inspections to confirm that cleanup objectives would meet regulatory requirements.
