My responsibilities include the maintenance of our IT infrastructure, the management of cloud and web services, data and business process automation (both in house and for external clients). We grew our business from a single person entrepreneur to a medium sized consulting firm. With a background in corporate IT and the large scale budgets this can sometimes imply, the challenge to work towards the same corporate standards managed IT with a more modest budget and a more creative look at emerging cloud based technologies. Continuing on with the tasks previously done at Spectra Credit Union, the project work I was involved with primarily involved banking system migration (data mapping, reporting, data validation) and Enterprise Content Management system exploration as we were merging document imaging and document management technologies from our three legacy Credit Unions to work towards a single ECM system at Affinity Credit Union.

I started out with Spectra Credit Union as an IT Tier 2 Analyst, and over time got more and more involved in helping choose and implement the "right software solutions" within our business. I spent 12 1/2 years growing professionally with our Document Imaging/Document Management solution. Then came involvement in core banking system change, and core network change. As we experienced many of these technology changes, our business was challenged to seek the right technology solutions to fill the voids, so I worked with other department heads to help us work towards helping people do their work, with supporting technology at their fingertips.

Worked my way through combination of training and work experience to automate business processes from Word Processing and spreadsheets to administering a small administrative LAN setup with Revenue Canada standards. Progressed to IT Analyst, and was involved with many changes as my position was moved from Canada Customs to working with IT Department Regina Tax Services Shared Services. Had the opportunity to automate Saskatchewan rural Customs offices with deployment of Desktop Hardware, Backup Domain Controllers in 4 sites, and worked with my team to upgrade the Revenue Canada Tax Services computer equipment in Regina offices. When I left this role I was working as Tier 2 Support Analyst .
