I have worked in communications for almost 25 years, specialising in education and technology. In August 2023, I was appointed the Director of Marketing at Renaissance Global (incorporating GL Assessment and GL Education), leading on corporate communications, marketing, media relations and public affairs.I'm passionate about helping teachers get that 'lightbulb moment' about their students. As one of our customers said: "Kids are little geniuses - they know exactly how to hide their feelings. We provide that evidence alongside a range of products and insights that help personalise learning to each child's needs.I work closely with schools and groups of schools in the UK and around the world, sharing their stories about how our products and services can be used to identify children’s potential, current attainment and any barriers to learning they may have. I have been closely involved in shaping a series of research-led reports, covering topics such as reading in schools, student wellbeing and teacher workload. These reports contribute to both national and international debates, and have been recognised by industry awards (CIPR, PR Moment). Outside work, I am a governor at an independent preparatory school, advising on marketing and communications.
