I have experience as a secondary science teacher in Las Vegas in both the brick and mortar public school setting as well as in the virtual setting at a charter school. I have taught mostly biology of all levels (AP, honors) along with earth science. Students deserve dedicated adults that believe in them and foster lifelong skills to help them become a contributing member of society, so I have integrated myself in extracurriculars for students like Student Council, Key Club, and Ecology Club. I also find value in supporting a team and have enjoyed training new teachers that have transitioned from a brick and mortar setting to a completely virtual school. Using resources and eventually becoming a resource to others is an essential piece of building a cohesive structure in the workplace, and I bring that mentality to a team.
