My responsibilities include case management, group facilitation, curriculum development and implementation, direct care, file management and serving marginalized and diverse populations.

Administered over 300 hours of psychological testing to patients  Assisted Mental Health Providers with patient’s treatment; conducted initial intakes, treatment plans, and termination of treatment.  Triaged/treated service members in distress; assessed mental stability/personal safety; prevented decompensation  Lead coordinator for families with special needs; ensured these families had access to the treatment they needed Presented over 300 briefings to service members on suicide prevention, combat stress, domestic violence awareness and mental health/substance abuse services  Provided free childcare for all marital and parenting classes provided by our Family Advocacy Program  Revamped outreach program; created new handouts and presentations made available for 30 thousand personnel. During my deployment to Afghanistan: Developed curriculum for anger and stress management classes based on cognitive behavioral therapy Taught anger and stress management classes  Counseled and taught coping methods to service members  Spearheaded implementation of “United Through Reading” program; families and deployed personnel able to stay connected  Spent over 200 hours of my deployment outside the clinic doing outreach, morale checks, offering services, and listening to service members. Served on a Traumatic Stress Response team which provided immediate counsel and support to military units who have experienced a death in the unit.
