Hello! My name is Danielle, and I am a visual UX designer with over a decade of experience as a graphic designer and art director. I also do digital art for fun and the occasional freelance design project.I spent the first decade of my professional career growing from a graphic designer to an art director. In 2020, I made the shift to the UX field as a visual designer. It felt like a good time for a change—and it happened right when the whole world changed. As a visual designer, I draw upon my experiences as an art director in my work. I dive deep into a brand to understand their design to faithfully apply this language to their products. I enjoy finding the balance between beautiful, on-brand design and a functional, usable experience. With a special interest in accessibility in design, I aim to provide guidance and create designs that meet modern accessibility standards and result in a beautiful, smooth experience for all users.Abridged version:- I have experience in multiple industries: social media analytics, pharmaceutical and rare disease research, IT/IS products, insurance products, video production, and more- The intersection between aesthetics and usability in design is my happy place- I would describe myself as versatile, curious, and creative- Others have described me as efficient, polished, enthusiastic, and collaborative- Learning new skills is fun for me; I love cultivating a new skill- I love teaching those I work with about designAnd for some non-professional bullet points:- I’m a big nerd about movies, especially horror/scifi/fantasy- I love animals, especially cats, dogs, and sharks- I have been told I’m “really good at finding gifs” in Teams
