National Foundation for Cancer Research (NFCR) was founded in 1973 to support cancer research and public education relating to prevention, earlier diagnosis, better treatments and ultimately, a cure for cancer. They are a national organization with chapters and an international presence, especially through programs in China. There are approximately 400,000 active small-sum donors developed primarily through direct mail. I was brought in to develop more event-related fundraising, and under my directions all programs met or exceeded budget goals.o Cultivated relationships with high-level donors and Board of Advisors resulting in lift of response.o Developed SOPs and assisted internal needs of all donor-initiated events ensuring proper data entry and acknowledgement in order to develop relationships - approximately 150 events annually.o Worked with motivated donor to promote donor restricted fund for breast cancer requiring detailed database management to honor requests and acknowledge donations.o Managed all logistical aspects of Spring Scientific Award Event and Fall Golf Tournament, including sponsorship solicitation, committee management, VIP travel, vendor relations, auction details, press coordination, messaging and acknowledgements. o Oversaw digital presence including website, online donations and email campaigns, including full program system transition over the past year.o Managed CFC and State Campaign applications and promotion.o Designed and produced all organization positioning materials including articles for print and online newsletters.o Produced social media communications strategy.o Coordinated public relations strategy and Press Release production with management team.
