About Daniel Powell

Initially, my drive to help people led me to pursue education in nursing sciences until I earned certification as a CNA while attending West Georgia Technical College. During my time there, I worked with the college's IT professionals as part of a federal work-study program. The following summer allowed me time to reflect on my strengths regarding the handling and understanding of technology. I decided to transfer to the University of West Georgia in hopes of utilizing my work experience and background in Information Technology.My first semester at the University of West Georgia included an Accounting course in which I scored perfectly on the first exam. This motivated me to understand the nature of business. With some knowledge in accounting, I secured a position as a staff accountant for a local CPA firm. While my job description primarily centered around public tax and forensic accounting, I still found myself assisting coworkers with troubleshooting technical issues. Over the past five years, I have worked at an Authorized Apple Service Provider, offering top-notch customer service to those seeking help with their Apple products. These years have taught me that I want to fully embrace my skill set related to my affinity for understanding technological problems and solving them.Currently, I am working full-time while finishing my degree and realizing my goals of serving as a vital resource to an IT support team. I firmly believe that when it comes to the technology in our world, if there is a problem, a solution must also exist.
