I’m a lead creative who oversees publications from initial brief through to pre-press. My responsibilities include: • Making sure all jobs conform to clients’ guidelines and briefs, whilst adhering to ISO standards and delivering against tight deadlines. • Briefing and managing junior designers, artworkers, freelancers and photographers. • Maintaining an excellent working relationship with account managers, editors and clients. • Implementing visuals for redesigns of current publications and pitches for new work. • Attending client meetings and ensuring sign off of work through each stage of production through to completion. • Commissioning and art directing photo shoots, commission illustrations, and picture sourcing.• Creative and artwork checks on projects to ensure brand is implemented and brief is achieved. Technical Skills• Full working knowledge of Apple Macs OSX. Highly skilled in CS4 InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and QuarkXPress.• Excellent knowledge of creating interactive and accessible PDFs from InDesign and Adobe Acrobat.• Good working knowledge of the PC using Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel.• Able to create advance and engaging presentations in Keynote, Powerpoint and Prezi.• Intermediate knowledge of After Effects.• Working knowledge of Cinema 4D.

• Support the wider design team in setting up artwork, templates and carrying out client amendments.• Accept project briefs from Account Managers/clients whilst working alongside fellow designers, to unsure artwork is taken from concept brief through to pre-press in an efficient and timely manner.• Quality control and checking of artwork files ensuring they are on brand, error free and meet job specifications.• Pre-press support – produce and check final print ready pdfs, ensuring they are error free, in line with printer specifications and uploaded on schedule.

• Project coordinator for numerous publications.• Collaborate with Editors, Journalist, Designers, Photographers and Clients to ensure that everything is done on time, to budget and to the clients specifications. • Liaise with many multi-national companies including Shell, BP, Clifford Chance, Barclays and BNFL.• Editorial Assistant (cover) at New Scotland Yard working on internal publications.• Production scheduling for various publications and communication with both Editors and clients to ensure adherence to schedule and timely completion. • Mentoring US students from FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) New York University on a four week internship. Setting a project and see them follow it through to presentation to fellow students and lectures, counting as a large percentage of their final mark towards their diploma.
