To start off, I have come to love technology for the better part of my life. I have been blessed with having friends who have introduced me into the technological world by offering me a job. That is where I worked as an internet installer in Spokane, Washington for a couple of years. After that, I eventually moved around to different jobs and landed at a terrific place in the aerospace industry.I worked in Research and Development. Though I wasn't necessarily in Information Technology, I was still working on a computer and an advanced microscope. At the time, that was enough for me! While I was working there, I became good friends with the employees in the IT department. When I heard that they had an opening to work in their department, I decided to throw my hat in the ring and apply. I expressed to the manager my interest in IT and how it truly never left me. I was hired immediately! My manager took me under his wing and I was back in the IT world that I love so dearly. As time went on, I wanted to learn more. I knew that my job position wouldn't take me far without a degree. All of this brought me to BYU Idaho to finish my Bachelors Degree in Computer Information Technology with the intention of becoming a Cybersecurity professional.
