Technical Manager:• Chairing all pre-artwork meetings for Asda’s own label packaging with all key stakeholders to ensure quality information into the studio, and to ensure the client’s printed packaging fulfils the client’s brief and the designer’s vision.• Liaising with design agencies throughout the design process to drive them to consider print processes.• Liaising with printers to build relationships and to drive the best results possible for the client.• Developed and delivered training programmes for Account Managers to increase their knowledge of print, packaging and colour management.Account Manager:• Project managed Asda’s own label packaging from new product development, through the design, artwork and repro process, based on-site at Asda’s head office.• Acted as the primary point of contact between several Asda colleagues, Gilchrist, suppliers, printers and design agencies.• Ensured all work undertaken by Gilchrist was carried out within deadlines, to a high standard and in a cost effective manner.• Played a large part in the development and roll out of the Online Digital Information Network (ODIN) which Gilchrist use for Asda to brief them, for work to be briefed to production, for production to run schedules and to manage their work, and for clients to review and approve artwork via RealTime Proofing.
