As Tech Lead of the Ventri project (a full-stack embedded IoT product for the pharmaceutical industry), Daniel has overseen the design and implementation of the Ventri tech stack, comprising an ESP32 running on Amazon FreeRTOS, AWS cloud backend and React web app. More recently, he has been actively involved in the rapid prototyping of UWB sensors for UAV applications. As an ASWE at Virtana, Daniel was involved in the development and maintenance of a Unity-based robotics simulator; performed 3D modeling of robots and their environments, including interactable assets (2019, Unity, C#)

Taught the following BTec Electrical and Electronic Engineering courses, enhancing students' practical skills and understanding:- Hardware Systems Applications (VHDL-based FPGA system design)- Digital Electronics (including simulation of digital circuits using Intel Altera tools)- Principles of Microcontrollers (using Assembly to develop embedded applications using a PIC microcontroller)Supervised upwards of 20 students for their final year projects and received an overall student feedback rating of 5/5

Developed a high performance, purpose-built, non-linear optimizer to help model grid-wide electrical loads, using C/C++ and CUDA.
