At the Beverly Arts Center I conducted a weekly digital art class. The class gave me an opportunity to use my past experience with Photoshop to educate children, teens and adults about the basics of the program.

This position offered me a chance to work with customers to both create original artwork for signs and proof existing art for print. I also spent time doing production work, including laying down vinyl graphics. Working one on one with customers gave me new perspective on what it's like for non-designers to work with designers.

As Art Director I had the unique opportunity to work one on one with editors to create visually interesting and relevant designs for the front page and the entire paper. I worked to take the position from something used infrequently to something editors relied on to make the paper visually appealing. I created design standards and guides that are still used today, including a full redesign of the daily paper.As Ad Production Artist, I worked with Marketing Consultants to create customized ads as well as alter existing ads. I was promoted from this position to Art Director after less than one year of work for the paper.
