I am new to the Outschool community.I teach self-love in a fun way with my beloved character Purrdie Burrdie.I read my story, teach step by step how to draw Purrdie Burrdie. I teach children self-love affirmations while we color. I also teach a self-love poem to the kids in a hip-hop style. I end the class with a Q&A where children can ask me anything about myself or Purrdie Burrdie.

I’ve worked for the Y for the past 13 years. I started in Family programs, became a Lead Preschool Teacher, lost my classroom due to the pandemic. Now I’m back at the West Seattle Y as a Kids Zone Counselor. I love my community YMCA and it’s my way of giving back. My beloved character Purrdie Burrdie was inspired by the children at the West Seattle YMCA. Working at the Y gave me a dream and has helped me to nurture my passion as an artist.
