My career in news and media (20+ years) has centred on understanding how technology, online trends and social media behaviours shape audience engagement. I've led teams at the BBC, The Irish Times, The Times and The Sunday Times, focusing on data-driven strategy, impactful storytelling, and cross-platform optimisation. Skilled in video production, analytics, and SEO, I successfully adapt newsrooms to the evolving digital landscape. As a Social Media and Digital Video Editor for BBC Wales News, I spearheaded a 101% rise in engagement across our social platforms and increased video and news engagement on BBC online platforms. Committed to inclusivity, I'm a former co-chair of a staff network within the BBC's Diversity and Inclusion team.
