When I look at an Excel spreadsheet, I don't just see a bunch of numbers. I see a fascinating puzzle that connects a client's financial story with market trends. I love putting those pieces together to try to create a strong and secure financial picture. Having worked as a securities principal and partner at a major Baltimore financial firm for several years, I gained the financial experience to understand the minutiae of the market, and also recognize when it forever changed. The digital revolution increased the volatility of the market and altered the face of investing. Immediacy now defines our financial reality. What once took a week to unfold now can occur over a weekend. I co-founded Jacob William Advisory as a response to the serious market changes. A new financial landscape called for a modern philosophy of money management. My strategy doesn't hold onto the old maxim that stocks will rise, fall, and eventually even out. This “eventually” isn't something that I accept. I stay nimble and prepared to move in and out of trends in an attempt to increase upside capture and decrease downside risk. This way of doing business seeks to protect both the future and the now. My clients can have financial confidence in the present, not just the promise of “eventually.”I not only believe in responding to the market. I believe in responding to clients. Through clear and open communication, clients understand the logic within the numbers and the financial picture behind the puzzle pieces.
