  I am a partner in Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s Litigation Department. My practice practice focuses on commercial litigation, with an emphasis on real estate litigation. I represent owners, investors, borrowers, purchasers, sellers, landlords, tenants, sponsors, managers, lenders, and developers of retail, commercial and multi-family properties. My experience encompasses a wide variety of real estate-related disputes, including those alleging contractual claims, fraud, and specific real property claims. I have extensive experience representing both landlords and tenants in all types of lease disputes, concerning retail and commercial leases from pre-litigation matters through trial. I have handled lease litigation ranging from unlawful detainer for non-payment of rent, to disputes concerning the application of force majeure, continuous operation, co-tenancy, and liquidated damages provisions. His practice also covers disputes concerning the interpretation and enforcement of purchase and sale, partnership, option, and joint venture agreements, and leases; partition actions, receiverships, easement disputes; and litigation of non-disclosure and construction defect claims. I have also counseled and represented a variety of corporate clients, in state and federal courts, and in arbitration, in matters involving a wide range of general and complex commercial disputes including business torts, breach of contract, trade secrets, fraud, unfair competition, and unfair business practices claims. Partnering with attorneys throughout the firm in related disciplines enables me to comprehensively address clients’ needs to minimize risk and maximize opportunities before, during, and after litigation.
